UN Global Compact

Milan, 5 June 2019 - Since 2011 our Group decided to embrace the Ten Principles of UN Global Compact, an international call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. We strive every day to make this commitment real and to embed its higher standards at any level. But we want to do more: to be an active player in the global change towards a more sustainable business, to participate proactively to the public debate on sustainability as the key factor to orient the energy transition, always looking at the Sustainable Development Goals set by UN as the compass to move forward. That’s why our Group decided to scale up its commitment alongside the UN Global Compact contributing now as Participant member of the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, united under a shared agenda to eradicate extreme poverty, tackle climate change and to ensure a life of dignity for all.
In order to ensure as much involvement as possible, since 2015 we are also part as Founder Member of the Global Compact Network Italia, a group of more than 100 Italian profit and no profit organizations committed to work together to develop UN Global Compact at national level, supporting the fulfillment of Agenda 2030 and its 17 goals of sustainable development. We are proud to be part now of the Global Compact Network Italia Board of Directors with the appointment of Carlo Nicolais, Head of Institutional Relations and Communication, as Board Member.
