• Approximately €147 MN awarded in contracts in the core business (oil, gas & petrochemicals) for engineering services, licensing and technology packages

Milan, 26 March 2013 – Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that several contracts and variations have been awarded to its subsidiaries for a total amount of approximately €147 million for engineering services, licensing and technology packages. In particular, new contracts in the core business (oil, gas & petrochemicals) have been awarded mainly in Europe, Middle East and Asia, along with the Early Works activities for the Port Harcourt refineries (Nigeria). The latter project, for the client NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation), is set among the priorities of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Furthermore, in regard to Infrastructure & Civil Engineering, RFI (FS Italiane Group) announced the start of construction of the second lot     of the Milan-Genoa High Speed/High Capacity railway project (Terzo Valico dei Giovi). Such event confirms the progress of the contract assigned to COCIV consortium (of which Tecnimont is a member with a 20% stake). It is reminded that the overall value of the project amounts to approximately €4.8 billion, of which €960 million pertains to Tecnimont.
