Milan, 25 June 2014 – Maire TecnimontGroup announces that its subsidiary Tecnimont Civil Construction S.p.A. has signed a framework agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for consultancy activities in the Energy and Resource Efficiency Programme for the Corporate Sector in Russian Federation and Early Transition Countries, the program for supporting energy efficiency implementation in the Russian Federation and other countries of the Euro-Asiatic area.

The consulting activities will be conducted in order to support EBRD in checking the use of energy and resources within the operations of their plants, elaborating energy and resource saving solutions as well as actions to exploit renewable energy sources.

Such consultancy activities will contribute to aim EBRD’s development programs towards a more sustainable approach, in line with the international best practices in terms of terms of use of energy, smart use on mineral and natural resources and reduction of wastes.

Further, by providing this Program, EBRD will ensure targeted training to plant operators and assistance in order to better prioritize and implement energy efficiency investments and management systems to reduce facility energy consumption.

With this initiative Tecnimont Civil Construction begins a strategic collaboration with the International financial institutions network, starting with a prestigious partner such as EBRD.
