Milan, 7 June 2013 – The new professional training course for “Quantity Surveyors” will start next 24 June. The course is promoted by ASSOIL School in collaboration with Maire Tecnimont Group. ASSOIL School, association founded in January 2011, sets training courses in the oil & gas sector for its members. The course, intended for a maximum of 14 participants, will take place in Viggiano (Potenza), at the Assoil School premises and is aimed at providing in-depth professional training in order to operate in construction sites in the field of subcontracts management, specific scope being works accounting.

This initiative, tied to the imminent start of construction works of the Tempa Rossa project, aims at developing new professionals as well as promoting employment opportunities locally, in line with the objectives of Total E&P Italia and Maire Tecnimont. 

The course is intended for either university graduates or high school graduates, unemployed or never previously employed, between 18 and 29 years old, resident in the Basilicata region. Candidates shall possess a high school technical diploma, and/or a B.A. degree (the equivalent of a “laurea triennale” in Italy) or a M.A. degree (“laurea magistrale”) in the following fields: Engineering, Economics, Geology, Agrarian Studies. Moreover, English language is required, and in case of non-UE nationals, a residence permit.

Course duration will be three weeks, for a total amount of 120 class hours, comprehensive of both theory and practice modules.  Furthermore, up to 30% of course participants will be employed in the currently active construction sites of Maire Tecnimont Group, preference being given to “Tempa Rossa” project, which envisages the implementation of the Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction Coordination and Commissioning of the oil and gas treatment located close to Corleto Perticara, Potenza.
