Investor Relations

The Group is a leading provider of engineering and construction, technology and licensing services worldwide. The Group’s activities mainly focus on the design, engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) of plants for the petrochemicals, oil and gas refining and fertilizer processing industries (the “core business”). In petrochemicals, we focus on polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), polypropylene, and PDH plants; in oil and gas refining we are leaders in several areas, including hydrogen, syngas, sulphur recovery and tail gas treatment; and in fertilizers we offer our expertise in urea, ammonia and nitric acid.

The Group is also active in Green Chemistry, through a series of initiatives aimed at lowering the impact of fossil-based processes, improving waste recycling, and creating products based on Bio feedstock. The Group is also equipped to deliver large-scale renewable energy plants generating power from wind, solar, and biomass resources.

In its core business, the Group is active in the whole EPC value chain through a technology driven high value proposition, offering a broad range of services on an individual or combined basis. The services offered by the Group include: (a) project development consultancy, engineering services, such as market research and feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, front-end engineering design (FEED), preliminary and detailed engineering; (b) procurement of materials and equipment; and (c) construction services, including project management and execution, commissioning and technical assistance for operation and maintenance after the start-up of operations on a life-cycle basis. The Group also provides proprietary or third-party technologies for the design and manufacturing of plants in its core business. In particular, the Group can leverage on a portfolio of over 1,200 proprietary patents, that can guarantee a technological leadership in its core business and a competitive advantage vs. the general contractors.

In Green Chemistry, the Group acts as an operator, joint developer with industrial players, as a traditional EPC contractor or as a technology licensor depending on the plant scale and characteristics.  

The Group reports its financial data based on two Business Units: Hydrocarbons (petrochemicals, oil and gas refining, fertilizers) and Green Energy (green chemistry and renewable energies).

The Group has a workforce of approximately 6,300 employees along with approximately 3,000 additional Electrical & Instrumentation professionals. The Group is present in 40 countries through approximately 50 operating companies.

Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2007, the Group has a market capitalization of about 800 million Euros. In 2019 the Group reported revenues of 3.3 billion Euros and a net income of 115 million Euros. The backlog stands at 6.4 billion Euros.
