The Global Compact is the initiative for corporate citizenship and sustainability promoted by the United Nations. In 2011, Maire Tecnimont adhered to this strategic Global Pact, officially committing to share, support and apply the ten fundamental principles identified by the UN, relating to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption to contribute to a new globalization phase leaded by sustainability, international cooperation, and partnerships in a multi-stakeholder perspective.
Subsequently, the Maire Tecnimont Group has taken up the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the UN General Assembly on the 25th of September 2015. These Goals indicate the global results and priorities to be achieved by the year 2030 and define an integrated action plan for people, the planet, prosperity, and peace.
We have identified the SDGs that are applicable to our Group. These are the 12 Sustainable Development Goals to which, within our industrial activities and concrete work, we can contribute through internal efforts that involve the significant participation of each of our companies.
