Rome, October 28th 2019 – NextChem, the subsidiary of Maire Tecnimont Group dedicated to energy transition, presents itself for the first time at Ecomondo 2019: the fair in Europe for industrial and technological innovations in the circular economy and invites the partners of various ongoing research projects to our stand (Hall D3, 065). Representatives of companies (including Barilla, Eni and So.GIS), will discuss relevant subjects in the plastics and recycling sector, in addition to the presence of representatives of institutions to discuss the concrete implementation of the energy transition and circular economy through technological development.
Wednesday, November 6th, between, 11 to 12:30 am we will discuss "Microalgae Biomass from Wastewater from Oil Mills for the Nutraceutical and Bio-Polymer Industry”: the Mewlife Project" with Barbara Masciocchi - NextChem, Agnese Cicci - BIOP, Francesca Pagnanelli - HTR, Marco Stoller - LABOR, Paolo Mariani - Asso. frant.oi and the Latium Frantoi Oleari Association. Moderated by Emanuele Bompan, director of Renewable Matter. After Mediterranean brunch, offered to visitors of the stand, will introduce the theme of the afternoon, from 3pm to 4.30pm: "Producing Pasta from Renewable Thermal Energy: NextChem and Barilla Present the Hiflex Project". A discussion will be led by Annarita Salladini, NextChem and Luca Ruini, Barilla, moderated by Mauro Spagnuolo, Director of Rinnovabili.it.
Thursday November 7th between 11 to 12:30 am there will be a meeting on "Innovation in Plastic recycling: the Upcycling of MyReplast Technology" with Valerio Coppini, NextChem - Angelo Bonsignori, IPPR, Permanent Table for Plastic Quality Recycling, Rubber-Plastic Federation, Antonello Ciotti - Corepla, Carlo Andriolo - Aliplast, Hera Group, Valeria Frittelloni - ISPRA, Ilde Gaudiello - Ministry of the Environment. Moderated by Carlo Latorre, journalist for Polimerica.it. It will close with a brunch offered to visitors by MyReplast Industries, the subsidiary of NextChem which manages the plastic waste up-cycling plant in Bedizzole (BS). In the afternoon from 3 to 4.30 pm, a discussion on “Production of Fuels and Lubricants from Renewable Sources: NextChem Technologies for the Energy Transition", with Antonio Zarli - NextChem, Giacomo Rispoli - ENI, Piergiuseppe Polla - MASOL, Susanna Larocca - So.GIS and Raimondo Orsini, Director of Sustainable Development Foundation. Moderated by Antonio Cianciullo, journalist of La Repubblica.
On Friday, November 8th, from11 to 12:30, the theme will be "Reuse of Waste Water with Energy, Water and Material Recovery: the STREAM Project", with Barbara Morico and Federica Cantarini - NextChem, Silvano Cimini - Quality Engineering and Valentina Innocenzi from the University of L'Aquila. Moderated by Alessandro Gobbi, Chief Editor of ICP, Journal of the Chemical Industry.
NextChem manages technological initiatives in support of the energy transition with a roadmap that is developed in three areas: Greening the Brown, for the reduction of the environmental impact of traditional transformation processes through the use of energy from renewable sources; Circular Economy, to support the circular economy trends through the implementation of quality recycling of plastic waste, the development of technologies for chemical recycling and waste-to-chemicals and waste-to-fuels solutions; Green Green, to identify petroleum substitute raw materials and related technological solutions for the production of bio-fuels and bio-plastics from renewable sources. In these market areas, NextChem is active with the licensing of its own technologies, the supply of engineering and construction services (EPC), project development activities, as well as with research projects with European and national funding.
