• MAIRE TECNIMONT UP is the Group’s program aimed at supporting the development of its strategic Italian partners
  • The KNOWLEDGE SHARING plan has been launched, aimed at mutual growth through the sharing of know-how and lessons learned

Milan, 17 June 2021 – The Maire Tecnimont Group has kicked off the second event of the program Maire Tecnimont UP in support of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) dedicated to knowledge sharing and lessons learned with its strategic Italian partners.

The creation of value for the Group increasingly engages its supply chain, made up of more than 5,000 Italian and foreign companies, with a steady commitment which guarantees the solidity and resilience of Made in Italy engineering around the world, by leveraging the technological and entrepreneurial excellence of the numerous Italian SMEs involved in the implementation of Maire Tecnimont’s projects.

The Knowledge Sharing initiative aims at developing an innovative platform for the acquisition of key skills necessary to create value and increase competitiveness in international markets by sharing the knowledge acquired by the Maire Tecnimont Group and its engineering supply chain.

The workshop explored the themes of Internationalization and plans for development in support of Made in Italy together with Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador in Japan; the Digital Transformation was debated by Patrick Morselli, Partner & Founder of Superluminal Partners; the innovative approach of Co-engineering was discussed with professors Andrea Piccaluga and Alberto di Minin of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. Among the guests was Sergey Komyshan, Executive Director for Marketing and Sales, Procurement, Innovation and Business Development of SIBUR, one of Group’s most important clients and partners, who illustrated the trend of the global petrochemical market and the growth prospects of contractors and their industrial chain.

It was an opportunity for the Group’s strategic partners to meet and share, virtually bringing together more than 60 Top Managers from 40 leading SMEs in their reference sectors, alongside the top management of the Maire Tecnimont Group.

Two further workshops will be dedicated to sustainability and the energy transition as well as international finance, contract management and best practices in project management.

Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO of the Maire Tecnimont Group commented: “We strongly believe in this project aimed at starting an open discussion with our strategic partners. Knowledge sharing means joining forces to understand what we would like to do more and better in a market that offers great challenges for its complexity and discontinuity and therefore rewards only those who are able to evolve. Our goal is therefore to exchange all the work tools necessary to grow together and to guarantee an increasingly high performance engine at the supply chain level thanks also to a greater ability for mutual understanding”.
