Milan, 28th April 2021 - The fourth edition of the two-day Group HSE Workshop to celebrate the World Day for Health and Safety at Work 2021 has started!

Today is the World Day for Health and Safety at Work, promoted by ILO (International Labor Organization), which every year focuses attention on the importance of preventing accidents and work-related diseases.

This year edition will see among the participants, 160 colleagues of the Construction team (Site managers e Site HSE managers) and the Group Top Management connected from main offices and 24 construction sites. The Construction sites mobilize approximately 36,500 people, including the Maire Tecnimont Construction team and direct and indirect workers. Seven of our Top Managers will be present, including Maire Tecnimont Group CEO Pierroberto Folgiero, to give their valuable contribution and vision.

Particularly this year, the day puts the focus on strategies to strengthen National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) systems to build resilience, in order to face today and future challenges by drawing on lessons learned and experiences from the world of work.

For the occasion, Group HSE in collaboration with Tecnimont and KT-Kinetics Technology Construction management, has organized the fourth HSE Workshop with dedicated branded materials (posters, banners, t-shirts, polo shirts). The aim of the event is to share the best practices implemented, the lessons learned from 2020, as well as the new objectives and expectations for 2021.

During these two days, a schedule dedicated to HSE will be broadcast on all our Corporate TVs. On our social media, we will communicate how the health and safety of our people represent a core value for the Group and the results obtained in 2020.

Among the topics, we will deal of communication activities undertaken since 2019 when we launched the brand Safethink to define a new multi-stakeholder approach to HSE culture. In 2020 we strengthened our activities to face the global pandemic, launching the spinoff SafethinkCovid-19 to adapt to the rapidly changing scenario. Eventually, Safethink Rules for Life Guidelines, the 10 rules on behaviors to adopt every day that the Group considers of primary importance for the prevention of accidents.

The current situation has placed even more attention on the need to establish guidelines to ensure the safety and health of people. Since safety is not only a priority but a fundamental value for us, we therefore take this opportunity to emphasize and foster dialogue on the importance of creating a valuable HSE culture.

The best to all of us for the World Day for Health and Safety at Work!
