Baku, 31 May 2017 – Creating value through the growth of young, high-level professionals on a local basis: this is the mission Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and Maire Tecnimont Group are carrying out together thanks to the completion of their first Development Program, consisting of professional training and mentorships reserved to the best three students of BHOS. The School is the most prestigious university in Azerbaijan, educating professional engineers in various energy sectors, including petroleum, chemical and automation engineering.

The ceremony to deliver the Development Program certificates was held in Baku, at the presence of Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School, and Fabrizio Di Amato, Chairman, and Pierroberto Folgiero, Chief Executive Officer of Maire Tecnimont Group.

The Development Program enabled the students to follow a complete mentorship program based on the distinctive competences of Maire Tecnimont Group, working for six months both in the Baku Branch, both in the Construction Sites in Sumgayit. They developed not only their technical skills, but also leadership and communication skills, team building attitude, decision making approach, problem solving and most importantly, they had the chance to live, work, and share site activities in real time, going in the field, supporting Mentors and their teams in daily work.

“This is our first step together, so I wish to thank the School for its great efforts and cooperation – commented Fabrizio Di Amato, Maire Tecnimont Group Chairman – one of our priority is to establish fruitful, long-lasting relationships in our partner countries, and to do that we need to start with the young generations. If you invest in training and transfer know-how, you are on the right path to create value on the long run.”
