Awards for an overall value of approximately USD 360 million in the technology-driven core business

Milan, 12 March 2019 – Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its main subsidiaries have been granted several awards for a total amount of approximately USD 360 million for licensing, engineering services and EP (Engineering–Procurement) activities.

These contracts, awarded by some of the most prestigious international clients, have been granted mainly in Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Asia. 

In particular, Mumbai-based Group’s subsidiary Tecnimont Private Limited has been awarded two contracts related to engineering services for Electrical & Instrumentation works for a refinery project in the United Arab Emirates, while KT- Kinetics Technology has been awarded an Engineering & Procurement contract to implement several refinery process units in Egypt.   

Moreover, with regard to the Volgafert Urea EPC Project – previously announced on 17 December 2018 – Maire Tecnimont announces that the project has now been included in the order intake and backlog as a result of its successful financial closing.

Such result confirms the growth strategy in the technology and service area in the hydrocarbons downstream value chain, providing further evidence of the resilience of the Group’s technology-driven business model.
