EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract awarded for the implementation of a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) plant in Rhourde El Baguel, in northeastern Algeria

 

Milan, 27 October 2022Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its main subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.A. has been awarded by the Direction Centrale Engineering & Project Management of SONATRACH an EPC contract for the execution of an LPG extraction plant inside the existing Rhourde El Baguel oil & gas treatment complex, located in northeastern Algeria.

The overall contract value is about USD 380 million, to be executed on a Lump-Sum basis. 
The scope of the Project entails the implementation of a new LPG extraction plant with a capacity to process 10 million standard cubic meters per day of associated gas coming from the existing facilities. The completion of the plant is scheduled within 36 months from the Contract’s effective date. 

LPG is a pressurized liquid mixture of propane and butane, mainly used as fuel in heating and cooking appliances, and vehicles.
