Phase 3 of the Al Dabb'iya project is part of the North East Bab (NEB) development program of ADCO, a shallow coastal and marine area, located 40 km southeast of Abu Dhabi.
The scope of the project includes the EPC activities and continues up to the Performance Tests for the expansion of the existing plant. It will include the following main parts:
- Gathering crude oil system through a network of pipelines
- Central Process Plant (Central Process Plant - CPP)
- Oil & gas Export Pipelines
This is a challenging project in terms of execution but it holds strategic importance for the Maire Tecnimont Group in the Oil & Gas business. Its goal is to increase oil production by 20-40 thousand barrels per day with the use of about 60 new wells.
The contract also includes civil buildings, pipeline construction, equipment, installation of steel structures, tests, pre-commissioning activities, and commissioning assistance for the central processing plant and on-shore clusters.
This contract marked a crucial milestone for Maire Tecnimont due to its magnitude and technical content. It can be considered the largest EPC contract acquired as a single contractor in the Group's history. The client is Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), one of the companies in the ADNOC Group, one of the largest oil companies in the world.
